Alright, so I finally have something regarding the car. It looks like it will need a valve cover, PCV line, and a timing chain tensioner seal replaced to take care of the issue. I had them do a compression test and all cylinders held pressure as they should which is very relieving!
I ordered the parts online and now just have to wait. |

PCV line is easy to check, is it cracked? We've discussed the PCV in the VC a lot. So if the VC gasket is not leaking you should try the cheaper ebay PCV replacement option. You would be the first Ive read of a leaking timing chain tensioner gasket.

I don't believe it was cracked as far as I could tell. But they said it failed and that was part# 11157637521. As for the timing chain tensioner gasket, they showed me some pictures and it was indeed leaking a bit. They said it formed a small-medium puddle of oil under the car overnight.
