CEL after Charge Pipe Upgrade

Hello all, I recently blew my stock charge pipe on my N55 F30 and replaced it with the VRSF aluminum charge pipe upgrade kit. I'm completely stock besides this pipe and a muffler delete. After installing, my car tries to stall out on start up and has a very rough idle, but it seems to drive fine once it's on the street. Diagnostics ran and said something like the fuel was too rich and the air flow was too high. I'm thinking this is the MAF sensor on the charge pipe. Has anyone else had this problem or know what could be throwing the CEL, stall on idle? Thanks all

This can also be caused by a boost leak. Seeing as you just installed the charge pipe, that's probably a good bet. If the o-rings aren't seated right or any of the charge pipe ends or joints aren't snapped into place all the way, they can cause a leak

There is no MAF sensor on the CP, there is a MAP sensor. If you are getting air mass and AFR codes its almost certainly a vacuum/boost leak. As noted above check IC-CP connection, CP-TB connection, connection/clamps on the coupler, make sure plugs are in, etc.

post a log and post the codes you're getting... but as Jeremy said, it's likely a really bad leak.

Double-check your install, it sounds like a leak

Thanks to everyone who replied, after giving the install another look it looks like it was a boost leak on the CP. After reconnecting it the car started up fine and is driving great. I initially assumed it was my MAP sensor because I've heard those are prone to being damaged along with the CP. MAP seems to be working fine and no CEL are being thrown. Thanks again everyone🙌
