Just like IK6SPEED did, I already have a second diff ready to go. Still close to 2k for the LSD core + work though. I'll try to get in contact with a few specialized shops... I'd like a 13% shorter final drive, too... Just short enough to do 60mph at 6700-7000rpm in second.

Yeah I'd love to I just didn't happen to have 80k lying around when I bought the car...

There's a difference between a track car and a car you take to the track... I have a stripped E36 track car WITH LSD, full track coilovers, full buckets and harnesses... And then I occasionally take my F32 daily to the track. It's got over 100 more HP than the e36 and yet the lap times are pretty similar, and it's not the slicks, LSD and coilovers, it's the fact that I just can't afford to crash the F32 and if I total the e36 i'm only out a couple grand. That's worth a whole 3-5 seconds per lap of risks I'm not taking...

You gotta have a looooot of money lying around if you're chasing tenths on a 40,50, 80k+$ car. A screwup at speed can cost you, well, 80k$... Which is cool, I mean my goal in life is to be able to do tenth chasing on a Pagani Zonda Cinque, but currently it looks like that's a long way off...

Racing diffs out of Serbia has friction plate lsd for the manual transmission rear. Much easier to install as the welded ring gear can stay.

Friction plate looks nice. Still waiting for real world results however.
