so, im doing the rears right now, there isnt an instruction manual for our car is there? because the top spring perch just doesnt fit in the mount on the car.....it moves around and stuff. is it supposed to?
and rubber piece for the bottom fits on the mount, but the surface under the rubber piece isnt flat, so wont that cause the spring to eventually rub a hole through the rubber piece?

Well on the top part, it doesn't sit flush against anything, or fit in the hole at the top.

Sean@PSI,
Could use your assistance. As mentioned previously, I have 2013 BMW 335i xDrive and want to maintain the same OEM height. Another dealer selling BC Racing BR Coilovers indicated that even at a maximum height setting BR Coilovers would still lower the vehicle by 1 inch. Local BMW tuning shop indicated the same. What's the best way to confirm prior to purchasing that the same OEM height can or cannot be maintained with BR Coilovers? Appreciate your help. |

Unrelated question here guys but where are you putting your floor jack to lift the car? I assume you are using the recommended "slotted" positions for the jack stands? Or did you put the car on ramps?

Thank you! So to make sure I understand you, you have to first put your car on blocks to create enough clearance for your floor jack to be able to get under the rear diff?
Another dumb question...how stable is it jacking the car up under these center points? Does it make sense to put a wide piece of wood on the floor jack lift point to create more stability?

I use my low pro jack and place it on the front edge right before the wheel well starts and jack it up, it raises the other side high enough to fit my regar jack under and then jack up the other side. I have jack stands with tips that fit in the BMW jack points, and I place wheel chocks behind the front tires.

lol.. tell me about it
I don't even consider myself slammed, but its still a royal PITA when i had to figure out how to jack the first time. I had to create a special 4-step ramp out of 2x12's to allow my lip to clear each next step before the wheels hit. At the top of the 4-step ramp, the car still only had barely enough space for me to slip a low-profile jack under the front. I only have a couple of inches of vertical jacking room when i first start to jack, so it takes me like 30 tiny pumps to start the car going up When there's a will, theres a way... |

For jacking I got an Aluminum low profile racing jack from Harbour Freight for like $80. Works a treat. I can get both sides on jack stands in no time. |
