For those lowered more than that, you really need a true shop hydraulic system that comes out from the floor. I seriously don't know how they do it... |

haha TBH it looks just like my sig pic. I work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, so I hardly have time to mess with it. I have them installed, and nailed the rears on the first try (it was def. a miracle lol). But I still need to adjust the spring compression on the front wheels because I think they're too loose. As soon as I think I have it perfected ill post some pics.

Sorry to ignite this thread again, but does anyone have any feedback on the differences between the ride with the normal bc coils and the ones with the swift spring option?

Swift springs are a definite upgrade over the stock BC springs. They use a better spring manufacturing process and metallurgy I believe. So you will get a longer life span without spring sag. Had a set on my old Audi A4 at a 25.25" fender-to-ground all around.

Alignment parameters aren't dependant on the type of hardware you use to drop the vehicle. So there are no bc coilover specific alignment parameters.

I know how old this thread is, but that's the best part if the people that installed this coilovers 5 years ago still have them or can comment on how they perform over time. Anyone needed to rebuild or had any failures ?

I have the BR Series on my 09 Civic, good coilovers but ride extremely rough in my opinion.

Im on BCs and the ride is very good...make sure the preload on your springs are correct and they won't make any noise. I had the famous camber plate knocking and it went away when I adjusted my preload. the camber plates will rust up even if you dont' drive the car in the winter so quality of the metals is not the best...but it still works. In the past, I was under the impression that BC would let you select your spring rates, you know because they have fields on their website asking you to specify the rates...but that is apparently just for marketing. You could enter the formula for the Covid-19 vaccine in those fields and they will come back with the standard rates for the E90 and F30 is 6kg/mm for the front and 12kg/mm for the rear. The whole point of me going with BC was so that I could calculate and pick my own rates. The 6kg/12kg combo springs will work but they are not consistent with the factory frequencies...assuming you care about those things. the internals are solid and can handle a decent amount of abuse. Plus they are rebuildable if this is important to you. Ive had these for almost 3 years now and I have since upgraded the springs to improve things. they are still taking the abuse. my car is still competitive and Im on cheapo coilovers...hard to beat that. Note that the inner diameter of the BC springs is 62mm. Most of the aftermarket offers 60mm, 65mm, 2.25in, 2.5in, etc. so the spring seats may need to be adjusted if you ever decide to upgrade the springs. BCs represent great value for the money. they may not be as high a quality as Billys, Ohilins, KWs, STX, Fortune, MCS etc...but they are cheap and easy to adjust. These coilovers can be set for a slammed ride or factory ride height...the collars allow a decent amount of adjustability. Now the kicker, the customer service is second rate, the instructions are worthless and it is challenging to get help from BC if something goes wrong...I will never in my existence buy the product again...not because of the product but because of the ppl behind it. YOUSS-LESS!!!! Choose wisely! Last edited by brigade24; 08-26-2020 at 09:54 AM.. Reason: claritin clarity |

Sorry to bring this thread up from the past but how to you pre-load your springs? I got mine installed by a shop and they were really comfy for a week but then I hear a noise from the rear coils, I think it is the camber plate knock. I'm guessing pre-loading them would help fix the issue.
