I really hope they don't drop the ball when it comes to creating the F3X M3.

As per the usual 3-series sedan/coupe timeline, the F32 coupe should debut a year later sometime in 2013.

That's a good question...

Will we see the 4 banger that looks promising? Will the 6 cyl options be based on more powerful N54/N55 versions? Or something new?

Perhaps this info is already out there, and I just don't know.

No engine options have been confirmed yet, but expect it to include a full range of turbo and naturally aspirated 6-cyl, 4-cyl, and possibly even a new 3-cyl motor. The 28i will likely be powered by the same N20 turbo 4-cylinder powering the X1 xDrive28i and the upcoming Z4 sDrive28i, and the F30 335i/340i will again be powered by a turbo 6-cylinder engine.

So I assume this means Summer 2014 for the new M3?

Going by the timeline of the F10 intro and roll out of the upcoming M5, I think an F3x M3 would be closer to Late 2014 or Early 2015.

I think that's a safe estimate.

Sad day for wagon fans in all of North America... BMW of Canada usually follows the US.

x2

If required, I will move to Audi Avant for my next car if the 3er GT doesn't offer what I want.

That's a shame.
