Did Canada get amber rear turn signals for the F30?

I was watching this reviewer from British Columbia and noticed when he opened the trunk with the hands free release, the turn signal is amber. I'm surprised by this given that Canada and the US have the same automotive standards and designers at BMW prefer to send red turn signals to markets that allow them for aesthetic reasons.
Did Canada get amber turn signals or am I just seeing colors incorrectly?

That is odd. My Canadian 2016 340 is all red. Canada sometimes has different rules than the US -- My 2000 Chevy pickup had amber turn signals, US had red.

Red turn signals always look amber on camera. Try it and you will see.

You're not seeing things, but I think it's just the camera. Sometimes the light bars in the LCI taillights look pink to me in person, so maybe I'm seeing things.

I'm going to try it on my F30 and see what happens. I have a feeling you're right.

Ok, that is the case (had to try it). The intensity is strong enough that the camera makes it look amber.

Electronic cameras can do all sorts of strange things. For instance, look at the infra-red LED on your TV remote when you press a button. Nothing. Do it again pointing it at a camera while watching the camera screen.

Now you know how to test if your remote is working.

That's something I've used for years when troubleshooting IR.
