F80 m3 CP to F97 X3m CP

Spec for spec I'm not sure if the m40i would stack up. The previous generation there was about £100/m difference. That will become £80 /m roughly speaking given the gfv and assuming similar discounts. Add a few options to lift the spec closer to the standard X3m spec and I reckon your getting close. Though I guess running costs and ride quality may also impact the decision here.

Just to feed my curiosity (and not because I'm going to get back into one) are we looking roughly at £6000 in and £650 a month on a 86k spec (base + pano/surround view)

That's still cheaper than my Audi, which was 8.5k down and £660 a month.....

Maybe I should punt the Audi now, manage with the Mini for a few months and factory order and X3M In the name of money saving....

If only it was as comfy, as good for the dog and as economical.....!

Yes please - our pre M40i is due to finish March 2022 but seems need to get my act together in next month or so in order to ensure a slot.

Really!? Sytner have never been great on deals for me. Infact, with the X3m they couldn't even be bothered to try and get my business, didn't try to get me an extended test drive and didn't even bother to follow up so frankly they don't deserve my business.

Marshall Grimsby we're really good, and I would have gone there but they backed out of doing any meaningful discount.

And yes, this is for the LCI.

So, after what seems like forever I have an update…

Car is almost finished build, looking at delivery w/c 22nd November this may move closer a touch but not too fussed, it's my Birthday at the end of Nov so it will be timed quite nicely 😁

*THREAD RESURRECTION*

So, despite ordering in May 21, my car has finally landed at the dealers!!!

Collection is Saturday, so tomorrow evening I'll be heading off up to Edinburgh, over night stay then a short train ride over to Dundee. A bit of a treck but then I did get a really good deal. Plus, it will be a great adventure and chance to get to know the car a bit on the way back down.

Funny that, living in Aberdeen I ended up having to go down to Sheffield to get mine!

Plenty great roads around there if you are making a weekend of it. Or atleast take the Selkirk or Melrose roads if you have the time and are heading straight home

It's bizarre, I've literally never been able to get Sytner to do me a deal, or if they do come close it was a damn hard battle to get there!

That big fancy show room needs paying for and they have enough people throwing money at them from what I've heard so I tend to leave them to it. Infact, they couldn't be bothered to call me back after I test drove one of their x3m's
