Can I use 6WB with HUD in my car that doesn’t have HUD?

I got one on eBay without HUD but the seller have to order it and they said will take 3 weeks. However he has the one with HUD in stock and claims that it can be used in my car. Is this true and will there be any difference in the displays such as Nav and such? What about coding? Will that be the same as without HUD as well?

Should not be issue.

Is this new or used?

If used, the 6WB needs some settings cleared (such as VIN) that 99.999% do not have equipment to perform.

It’s new. Read too many posts about problems programming and I don’t want to risk removing and re-soldering the eeprom.

iirc, Bimmertech in their first shipment gave a part number they were sending out and it was a HUD 6WB, even though not all buyers had a HUD.

How do you mount that if your car didn't come with HUD? My dash has a large cut out to accommodate the OEM HUD (it gets recessed in this hole), does the non-HUD dashes have the same?

No.

But you are not adding a HUD Screen. Only the 6WB module.
