I still haven't been able to do my comparison after vid, we got 12" of snow here this week, which is 8x the monthly average in October. Ended up putting on snow tires out of necessity about a month earlier than normal.

MPE is garbage. Its literally a gutted version of the stock exhaust and replaces a pipe with a perforated pipe..

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1300480

Tell me how this isn't low quality, bs garbage.. it belongs in the trash, where it should be.

Does anyone have a video of an F30 335i with just the Remus axle back? No catless DPs. No res deletes.

I'd even settle for just some personal opinions at this point. I'm stuck debating between the MPE and Remus axle backs (apples to apples rather than apples to bananas). A comparison between MPE and a full cat back Remus with a catless DP is hardly a fair comparison.

I would say get AWE or Remus. I have AWE and love the way it sounds.

I have no issues with Borla. I run a cutback type-s on my SRT.

However, I would never put one of these on a 335.

$1,400
No valve actuator
50 lbs
7 exhaust sections with about 5 clamps
and probably the most bland / cheap looking exhaust tips they could find.

hard pass.
whats ur take on AWE exhaust, im interested in getting that and adding a catless dp.

I just took a quick video (first 20 seconds is Eco Pro, then Sport Plus):

I'm sure I would have been completely satisfied with the MPE, but I was leaning towards Remus and I am very happy with the results.

Damn you people! I thought I had made up my mind between going MPE or AA. I have a CSF fmic, VRSF charge pipes, AR design catted downpipe, along with a BM3 stage 2 91 octane tune, and now it's time for intake & exhaust. After all the research, MPE is out! After seeing that guy gut the MPE, I was no longer interested. No offense to whomever bought it, I'm sure I'd be happy with an MPE as well. But new research is always surfacing and new products are developed. Same as BM3 vs JB4, the JB4 was the "it" piggyback, till tuners finally figured how to crack the DME. Now, I would likely choose most of the ECU tunes over a piggyback.
So as I thought I would go AA axleback and save some money, there's now a compelling reason to spend a bit more for a Remus. I also like the AWE, but then again, we're pushing the price up. So now it's down to AA vs Remus. Based on Mikes (at Extreme Power) recent video of the Remus facility, I'm torn between saving a few $$ and buying an AA or splurging a little and getting the Remus. If they put that much R&D into their exhaust systems, it makes for a legitimate reason to pony up for a Remus...

Never ran AWE..

They didn't have the best reputation back in 2004-2008 with the audi s4 boys so I passed.

Also the tips have the built in exhaust flap for cold starts. easier on the car, don't have ziptie the module under the rear suspension (hood).

do it once, do it right.
Damn did it really take 2 hours to line up the tips? Or you mean do the whole exhaust job?

Also the valve should be before the tips, Remus sells different tips so I would think if people want to swap tips, that wouldn't involve messing with the valve.
No not that long but I'm a total freak on little details... I check how it looks cold and warmed up... just like to tinker with it until she looked perfect
