While I can't yet offer a first person perspective, since I still have a couple days to wait for my headlights and bulbs to arrive, here's a couple videos I found on YouTube that may help...

Yes the design is different. The low beams are incredibly easy to replace. No unclipping necessary, just loosen 1 screw and remove the other and you can slide the bracket out. Pull out on the metal base of the bulb and the two prongs pop out. Slide the new bulb into the two prong receptacles and repeat steps in reverse to install.
The high beam, I just haven't tried yet. My guess is to unclip the plug with the black and yellow wire and then remove the 2 screws as well. I'm not sure if that metal clip thing is what removes them |

Heres what I mentioned about the low beam. Very simple and easy to access. Undo the two screws (or leave 1 partially threaded in) and slip the metal baseplate out. Unplug the bulb and replug the new one, refasten the two screws: As far as I got with the high beam bulb, I believe you need to remove the LED module Then you have access to the screws (my gold heatsink thing in there seems to have some white substance caked on it) And heres my screwdriver not quite long enough to make it to the screws. Oh yeah, I unplugged the wire harness from the bulb as well |

Hey guys, forget what I said about needing a long screwdriver. Lol, sorry for so many posts. My curiosity got the best of me just now...
Just reach inside and push the top two metal prongs in and towards the center -- they will pop out of their clip. pull them forward or down, depending on which way you are looking at them; they will release the bulb. It was actually really simple! Having the LED module out may not be necessary but it does allow you to shine some light in there from the back while working from the side. |

In your last photo, it appears that those two bars are holding in the bulbs on the high beams. Is there a way to squeeze them together and unseat them to remove the bulb?

That's good news for sure! Same for the low beam bulbs too or just the highs? |

Brilliant photos mate really helpful
So you dont need to unscrew for the high beam but you do for the low beam. There is a little metal clip on the low beam that the H7 bulb sits into, it should come out |

Headlights just arrived...two days earlier than FedEx tracking had scheduled!
Now I need the bulbs to get here so I can have a reason to fiddle with them. |
