I just drove to Arkansas and back 2 weeks ago-I got 36 mpg on that trip as a whole

I was SHOCKED

I'm sure I would have gotten better with the LRR tires but DAMN, if you drive this car like a Prius it'll give the Prius a run for the money

You just have to drive it like a Prius-if you drive it like a 300hp monster, it gets a 300hp cars mileage

Case in point, my last tank was 15.6 mpg-lots of idling while the kids slept in the car and AUTOCROSS!!!

Just a little update after 3.5 months 3K miles and 48 autocross runs

I really like these tires. They're wearing slower than the UTOG 500 P7's that were on the car before (not surprising as I don't put a lot of miles on the car compared to the amount of wear at autocross and the P7's were just turning to dust and noise with every run).

I had 4060 miles on the P7's and 28 runs, they started with 10/32 of tread and now have 5/32

I have 3190 miles on the RE-11A's and 48 runs, they started with 9/32 of tread and now have 6/32

And the level of grip is PHENOMENAL

additional info - I put H&R Sports on last Friday and did an autocross last Saturday. There is no rubbing with these anywhere when lowered on sports

Geeze, I don't know - the track we use is roughly 1.5 miles per run, but it's not like normal driving, not like normal track work either considering in that 1.5 miles there's like 20 turns - only thing I can think of that's tougher on tires would be drifting, and burn-outs

You're probably using a couple of hundred miles worth of tread every run

Update on the RE-11A's

The car has 12k on it now which means these tires have 8k on them

They have been fabulous

I've been rotating them front to back (yay square) and once cross to average the shoulder wear from the low camber fronts. This pic was last week after a 2 day HPDE. The rears (now the fronts) were down to 1/32, fronts were 3/32-in the middle. Outside edge taking the beating from lack of camber

On the track they're awesome. When up to temp they stick like I've got a wing on the car. I was thinking of trying something else next season, but after the HPDE, it'll be another set of bridgestones next season

I've got one more Autocross before winter and I'll probably take it to a drag strip just for fun before I put the winters on for the boring soul crushing winter months.

Thanks for the updates! After an event in Jan I'll be about due for new tires. Might give these a try to save some money.

Edit: +1 on the camber. My outer edges are getting killed.

38-40 hot seem to work best

For Autocross, start with 35 or so, and check it after 2 runs. You might need to bleed it after run 3 or 4. Above 40 they start to feel greasy, so never start a run over ~38 as they'll swell with the heat. All this is general though-our runs are long (about 2 miles) and fast (lots of heat buildup). Just figure out what you need to do in your situation to be between 38 and 40-could mean staring at 38 and bleeding every run.

If your tracking, same hot pressures work well, but you don't stop all the time to bleed. 31-32 cold usually got me right there when the tires get up to temp. They really stick with a carcass temp ~160 and 39 psi.

If you're going to track the car, I highly recommend the hankooks - they are a LOT more heat resistant than the RE11a's were

I believe most track guru's I've spoken with say the R-S3 is the best Ultra-High Performance tire you can bring to the track. It will wear quickly on the street relative to a PSS for example, but performs very well at the track, doesn't overheat and become gummy etc.

Going to resurrect this post due to the awesomeness of it and the sheer amount of joy this just brought me! I can finally shed these skinny tires and forget about spacers! I just have a quick question for you, do you think with a KW V1 conservative drop on an X-Drive that these might rub? Based on personal time with this wheel size.

Here's some before(left)/after(right) pics - sorry the angle's aren't perfect, but you can get the idea

The tires are very square now - straight up and down instead of stretched like they were OE



The extra 20mm width acts from the outside like a 10mm wheel spacer



Here you can see in both the front and back there's a straight line between the top of the fender, the side wall of the tire and the rim of the wheel - basically completely flush



Lock to lock, no rubbing and I don't anticipate any issue at high speed with the car leaned over while autocrossing. I'm going to mount my GoPro pointed at the upper edge of the wheel and test to make sure - also to see if there's still enough clearance to drop it 0.7 in with H&R Sports.

And the tread looks HOT
