I suppose you fake a few locations a few miles out, perhaps in areas you might locally know to be dodgy? On the assumption they might have laid it up for a while to check it doesn't have a tracker. So try a few different locations

No I think as many stolen cars get dumped in a not too far location, to make sure they aren't being tracked. You can set your GPS position to 1.5 mile radius spots radiating out from home location. You might be lucky.

It's guess work really but it won't be far from your house so it's just about methodically widening your search - and some luck
Hi, this is getting me all paranoid.

Which Fake GPS app is it? There are several on Play.

OP, hope the police get their heads round Op Cundall and your car is tracked ASAP.

wonder if its worth getting a super cheap android phone (or you may have an old smartphone stuffed in a drawer) and hiding it under a seat/boot compartment etc, wired up to the car, so you have a secondary means of tracking it?

I posted on here before Christmas about a relatives F30 being nicked in the same way as the OP, they found it the next day parked up less than a mile away, the scum were waiting to see if it had a tracker for a day or 2.

I'd be scouring the local area if it was me.

What a bummer

Hope the police can work out their ar$e from their elbow and get onto BMW asap and find it. If not, hope your insurers are good about it. Did you have GAP etc?

BMW have a Police Liaison Officer... Only the Police can speak to them.

See my response from the copper that dealt with my enquiry.

You physically have to sign a form by the sounds of it. So no point letting them look into it.....you need to push. Get that form signed.

So frustrating that the Police aren't aware of this process. Surely they have a central information system that they can search for the name of an op and find the related information... Bloody insane that they are wasting valuable time that could lead to them recovering your car hassle free.
