BMS STAGE 1 / 328i N20 / HELP

Hey there, I have a n20 and bought a bms stage 1 used on offerup. I placed the connectors where they go and Im receiving a drive-train malfunction error message when i turn on car. Does anyone know why?

I think you mean jb+. provide a pic and the connections you connect so we can help you out

Check the install, if everything looks good you were sold a damaged unit

There is actually a separate unit called BMS Stage 1.

3 different offerings from BMS... in order of power increase:

JB Plus
BMS Stage 1
JB4

I get the same error message every time I connect mine. I've always stopped, turned the car off, restarted, and then no more message from then on. Until I disconnected the tuner and reconnected it again for any reason. Still works just fine. I can still tell the difference every time it's not hooked up and then when I hook it back up.
