HELP! After a car accident

Hello guys!

I have 2015 435i 20,000 milage.
I had a car accident in January. Front end accident.
My insurance company decided to fix my car and repairing costs 22,000 $.
No engine damaged or no frame damaged. that's what they said.
Today, my insurance(AllState) emailed me if I want to keep my car or sell my bmw to them.
They gave me two options:
-If I want to sell my vehicle to them, they said they can give me 7300$.
-If I don't want to sell it and keep my car, I can get 5300$.
After 6 months car accident, why do they offer this deal?
I heard that when you have a total loss, they offer this kind of deal.

But why do they give me this deal after my car has been fixed?
Do I have to complain about this?
They could've just given me 30,000$, without giving the auto shop 22,000$ to fix my car.
I could've got better deal if they offer a deal before they have decided to fix my car. I'm so confused right now... and I don't know what I have to do...
I'm asking this question here because I don't know who I should ask this question...

So they are essentially saying your car is worth $2000 now

A few things...

1. Has the car been repaired?

2. Is there an outstanding loan?

3. What's your deductible?

4. What's Kelly BB RETAIL value (assuming above average condition)

.

From OP 1) Yes it's been fixed

As for #4) A car with $22k of repairs is not in above average condition.

I don’t understand this part. They’re offering to randomly give you 5.3k in cash out of the goodness of their hearts? Or did you put in a claim for diminished value?

Ask your insurance company what the check is for. It sounds like diminished value. Take your car to Carmax and see what they offer you. Add $5300 and that's how much money you will have after you sell it. Is it worth it to you?

My car has been repaired.
I have a full coverage. And they waived deductible because I have a renters insurance.
It’s like 30K right now.
Mine is a black bmw msport pkg I changed my interior aftermarket carbon fiber.
20k mileage.

I don’t understand either. I did not make any claim after the accident.

Call your insurance agent to find out if this is a legitimate email. It almost sounds like some kind of scam. If it's legit, and you are not missing any details, you obviously want that $5300 and keep your car. Even if it now has a salvage title. I assume you can sell it for more than $2000.

Also, I'm very surprised they fixed your car for $22k. I feel like even $30k is a pretty big stretch for the value of your car.

i second what someone said about taking it to carmax and see what they will buy it for. If you have a salvage title then YOU must have authorized repairs on a TOTALED car. None of this makes sense.

It sounds like a scam to me. I bet if you trace the email source it will turn out not to be from Allstate. Anything that's actually from Allstate would be sent by snail mail.

No. Scammers will send phony checks so that you'll deposit it, allowing them to get your bank account information.

Carmax will not buy a car (or give you an offer to buy a car) with that kind of damage. They will simply say thanks but no thanks.

Now everything makes sense.

If I were in your position, I'd sell the car with $22,000 in repairs.

Not sure why you think that's good news as you are not receiving $5300.

A few questions no one has asked:

1) How does a car have $22K in cosmetic damage? You listed no engine or structural damage?

2) How does the car look and drive to you pre and post accident?

When I was in HS, my mom had a 2001 2.7T Audi A6. It was the first of this model and we were rear ended by a big truck at a light. It went from yellow to red and we were car 1. She stopped at the red and he floored it to go, right into us. They ended up fixing it as the damage did not look to crazy tot he eye. Turns out the parts took several months to come from Germany for a new model. We had a full size loaner car for 9 months. That ended up being a huge chunk of the nearly 22K repair bill. The car actually looked and drove just fine after. It was a lease that eventually went back about a year later anyway. Today my cars are owned and paid in full, and I'd have major issue with this if it was not a lease.

Front bumper, head lights, hood, grill, sensors, coolers + labor. All oem parts. The reason why people buy cheap Japanese cars is that parts and maintenance are more affordable than german, Italian, and British cars.
I looked up what they have repaired and inspected and there is no damage on engine, frame, wheels, and suspensions. I think that's why my car is not totaled. I went to the autoshop a several times to see how much my car has been fixed and talk to mechanics. My mechanics also said there is no problem on the engine and the frame, but front brackets(?) which are connected to the main frame of body were damaged. They said the brackets are not the frame of car so they can take the brackets off and replace to new one.
Obviously, I can see what the new parts are installed on my vehicle because of painting. They used the same painting, but to me, other parts look slightly different because they are old... And I don't feel something wrong with my car while driving.
