A couple of mods

I picked up my new grille this morning which is the last (for now) of the mods I will be doing to my new car. Thanks to Teaston for the heads up on where to get the Grille.

I think the Black gloss grille really works with Alpine white.

I've also changed my bonnet and boot badges along with the wheel caps.

I know the car is in need of a good wash, you wouldn't think I spent 2 or so hours on it last Saturday although I have done about 600 odd miles this week. I know what ill be doing this coming Saturday morning.

Cheers

Jay

I would really like to do the twin exhaust mod but sure they don't do it for the 2.0i, do they? sure you would know.

Nope, mine has Bridgestone S001's, you can also get Goodyear Eagles, it's just luck of the draw I think.

They don't do one for the 320i afaik. You can fit a 328i backbox with an adapter, but that would be expensive. Or try getting something like this to fit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAINLESS-...item51b0de37aa but it would be a bit squeaky bum time if you cut the original pipe and the new tip won't fit!!

Thanks Teaston for looking but probably rather go for the 2.8 option.

Cheers

It will have the best outcome. Strange thing though, on the parts catalog it shows the 320i as already having a twin exhaust!

Excellent I take it from this I could order this from BMW along with the rear valance to accommodate the twin exhaust they are only about £80.

Hope I read this correctly as I'm all excited now.

Cheers

Yes according to the guys in this thread, although they fitted a 328i M Performance exhaust to a 320i, but should be the same:

See I don't actually know that much, I just search and find info from the web! Shhhh don't tell anyone though!

Hi Ray, A few Details on the process from Nick who carried out the work.

Estoril Blue has always been one of my personal favourite colours so I was pleased to put some work into this lovely 320i. The car was first of all pre-rinsed, snow foamed, wheels & arches cleaned, following this it was then de-tarred, IronX applied to remove fallout and gently clayed where needed. The car was then taken inside to be gently dried off using soft towels and an electric air dryer. The next stage was a single stage machine polish with 3M Ultrafina before a full CarPro Eraser wipedown and sealed with Finish-Kare FK1000p Hi-Temp sealant, and after this Finish-Kare Pink wax as the final wax. The car was then given a full wipe down with Finish-Kare 425 Ultra slick body wipe. Tyres treated with CarPro PERL.

All pics are now on Photobucket for you :-)
