2012 328i Luxury vs. 2014 328xi Luxury
So dropped my car (2012 328i Luxury Line) off this morning for some recall work at the dealer and was given a brand new 328i x-drive Luxury Line.
Put the car in sport mode immediately and as I took the on-ramp to the highway.. I couldn't believe how nice it sounded. Much throatier deep noise sounded like a totally different car than mine. How do I get this on my car?! What has changed between 2012 and 2014?

I would not know. You can check with your dealership guys about pricing. BTW, there is a slight chance that the 2014 f30 328i models may also have "active sound", which is a system that pumps engine and exhaust noises through the speaker system. But that is a lot less likely. |

Just called dealership and the guy said there's a m-sport air intake available for $330 CAD but doesn't think a loaner would be fitted with it and I agree.

Could be that your car has an N20 and the loaner had an N26.
