Well hopefully this Saturday I can put on the FMIC and Springs and have the 3.5bar map sensor and tune uploaded on Friday. The DV valve upgrade gives me shivers!

I'm confused. Having the AA stage 1 flash for about 2 years, I just additionally flashed the 8HP with xHP Stage 2 a few days ago. Even when xHP config is set to use 2nd gear from a standstill in Comfort/Sport mode, the car seems to always drive off in 1st gear. (Dashboard also displays 1st gear (D1) when in standstill. ) So I flashed xHP back to "stock" just keeping the gear info the dashboard. Even then, D1 is shown in standstill Comfort mode. So now I am confused and wondering, if AA tune has an impact on that?! I didn't pay any attention to that before the xHP flash. Does AA flash use gear 1 even in Comfort mode? Cheers (by the way, I'm very pleased with the AA tune so far.)

Plain counting Just thought someone would no right away if AA flash always takes first gear from standstill even in comfort D.

Sounds a lot like my tune with DME Tuning, before it started to pull timing (probably could have held it if I ran E15). Felt like a monster at any speed, yet super cool and composed. On the highway, the car felt like an asteroid, effortlessly gliding, with ZERO resistance - just with the tip of the toe. Unfortunately, after reflashing the car never felt the same, and I was never convinced I being given the same map I had originally - perhaps DME Tuning tuned it down, in fear of liability. I think AA tune may be different because it addresses part-throttle and valve timing, which is how they achieve such enhancements in daily driving.

I've had an AA tune for several years, stage 1 then stage 2. Installed before bootmod3 and mhd became so popular. No issues whatsoever and no real reason to change.
