My kid struggles with his seat in my F31 and my V50 Volvo. On the Ford C-Max I just swapped out he had no problems.

I got this one a couple of weeks ago, does the trick:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Edit: Sorry just realised you're probably after a different kind of seat protector as this one is for single seat protection for a kids car seat. Last edited by Mottok; 04-26-2018 at 05:26 AM.. |

It's a nightmare design, with the sloping rear seats. The seat belt receivers positions were clearly not designed with car seats in mind.
If you have seat belt secured seats, then they just slide over the receivers so the kids cannot do themselves up. Pain in the ass every day and means that they are not able to be independent. I did try getting a seat belt extender (for fat/disabled folk), but the one I bought would not clip in the rear belts, but worked in the front bizarrely. I was also concerned in the back of my mind of what might happen in a crash (testing regimes etc?) so in a way, I'm happier that it didn't work on reflection. I have two kids, and for the second one I very recently purposely bought a Britax Romer isofix based one so it would not slide left to right and cover the belt reciever. The result is much much better with clear access to the receiver, but it is still quite tight to the edge of the car seat. He's 4.5 so cannot do himself up just yet.

I have the BMW seat protector that goes under the car seat and on the back of the front seat.
Not cheap but works very well and looks part of the car |

These are only for the back seats but they are superb.

The one I suggested earlier is very well made and at around £12-£14 well worth it and I have isofix base too and works fine. Or put kids in the boot..

I didn’t use protectors on my F31 and it buggered the leather and couldnt get rid of the indents. I got some car seat protectors inc front seat back from Amazon for the wife’s galaxy - I cannot recall brand but they were circa £20 each and well worth it as they have really protected the leather seats. I didn’t make the same mistake on my f11 - I got Bmw one’s thrown into the deal - good quality items, have protected the seats well and don’t look bad imo

Cheers guys the rear seats with there seats in has stretched the leather.
And I don't want it to get any worse than what it is. The back of my seat and the wife's seat is getting marked with there feet I did speak to someone about clear wrapping the back of the seats but they said this couldnt be done |

They tend to slide around side to side a little bit but they shouldn't move back/forth. That's pretty normal as the base attaches to a metal rod which is maybe 5cm wide, else it would be almost impossible to get the base lined up without being able to see the points.
