2016 328i SULEV warranty advice/help
Hi guys,
I'm asking for advice on what to do. I got an oil change on my 2016 328i (SULEV) and my mechanic discovered my differential is leaking from the axle/cover seal and the coolant level connector is contaminated from coolant leaking into the connector. I have only driven 42k miles and did not purchase extended warranty. My local dealership says that the coolant leak and differential are not covered under the SULEV warranty and I would have to pay out of pocket. Dealer is asking $2600 to fix the differential and another $490 for the coolant leak. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Last edited by ToysforB; 12-08-2020 at 02:22 PM.. |

SULEV warranty only covers emissions control components. Go to an Indy. A differential cover leak doesn't necessarily require a new differential, it may only need a gasket. As for the coolant leak whatever it is that he wants $490 for you can probably have done by an Indy for $250.
