I've done that comparison a few times. and the 340 with MPPSK is definitely better sounding by a large margin in terms of tone, growl, throaty-ness, the m3 is higher pitched and sounds a bit tinny at times no deep sustained growl. the m3 sounds apologetic and the 340 just let's you know how it is and says goodbye.

I would agree 340i with and even without mppsk sounds better than the m3.

Yup the 340 MPPSK does sound better than the M3.

But that's not really an apples-apples comparison. The M3 with the competition exhaust is pretty awesome.

I have a '16 340ix with mppsk and it sounds better than the m4 stock. Sounds so mean and aggressive everyone runs out of the way when they hear me coming down the street. Even if I'm only doing 40 sounds a lot faster.

MotoGP uses BMWs as safety cars. They used to run Akrapovic... but the logos indicate they are now using M Performance exhausts, but it could be a rebadged Akrapovic titanium system.

Either way... they sound amazing.

The M4 GTS is the street version of the safety car.

Judging from this thread it looks like it is pretty much unanimous the MPPSK is a must have. Try putting the car in sport mode while in an underground parking lot...amazing.

Same here. Also considering I won't budge on having a 6MT as well as xDrive a car like that is nearly impossible to find. Have to have it built, and then optioned at the port.

Exactly. This is the set up that i went for. Best of both worlds ( for our Canadian winter)

Im 6mo into a 36 mo lease, doesnt make sense to buy it now

Prices seem to have dropped. Not sure what they are on the other side of the planet, but in the UK, most people seem to be able to get dealers down to under £2,000.

I had mine done recently and loving every minute of it. Get in the car, start and straight into sport mode.

I believe you can transfer it to your new lease if it's a 340. I rememberreading a thread somewhere.

I just had the MPPSK installed on my 2017 340i m sport along with the rear diffuser, carbon fiber rear deck spoiler and carbon fiber mirror caps. I must say that the results are everything it is advertised to be. The added hp and torque has transformed a fast car into one with blistering speed. At first I was a little apprehensive about the sound kit but after driving it for three days it brings a wicked snarl to my otherwise conservative demeanor.
