I'm not sure if it's in my head, but it seems to have gotten a lot quieter. I'm not certain if I'm loosing my mind because I'm not sure how that's possible unless the car recognized something and dialed the tune back accordingly. That sounds bonkers though so I'm going to chalk it up to me being nuts.

I also finally got the CEL and then enabled the JB4 to clear it and that worked perfectly.
Same here it was pretty damn loud a few days ago. Today the car runs pretty quietly. I'll remove the resonator or get the AWE exhaust or both.

I ended up removing the secondary cat and resonator. Car is running on OEM exhaust. I get zero drone. Car sounds amazing. I would go with straight pipe and catless dp all day.

OEM exhaust with catless all the way through sounds awesome IMO.

Would you need a tune after DP install or can you run it with out a tune?

Any way possible to get a video of the downpipe with stock exhaust?

Please post video! Do you have pics of what the stock midpipe looks like? Or even pics of the secondary cat and resonator you removed?

I was debating between going with full straight pipes or replacing the ones on the car with small bullet resonators.

For some reason car runs softer now. First few days was loud, now it runs much quieter. Maybe the ECU adjusted something.

**Will post a picture of OEM midpipe and sound vid.....

Could NOT agree more. I noticed the same thing. All of my friends say it's in my head, but I don't think so.

I got my ER downpipe removed a week after install and my car does not sound the same as it did pre-downpipe. No more explosive firework sounds coming from the exhaust, no more loud pops or crazy crackles when letting off the throttle. It?s been different ever since.

I wish there was a way to figure out what's going on! I wouldn't be surprised if there is some logic built into the DME to detect this sorta thing.
