(F32) Suspension question
Hey guys, been doing a ton of research for the past two weeks, and i’d like some opinions
I’m trying to get rid of this wheel gap, while maintaining as comfortable of a ride as i can. I’ve been seeing a lot of good things about Dinan springs + B8s, and ACS + B6 (that are apparently on backorder for the rest of eternity). Any other suggestions? Any good words on the Koni yellows? had those on my MK6 GTI and they were great. |

They'll all work and are from reputable brands, so the main question is how low you want to go/how much you want to spend. There aren't many people that swap different springs, so basically look at pics of the drop and pick what matches your taste. I had H&R Super Sports on the stock shocks and it was great. It still didn't completely eliminate the wheel gap so I swapped to coilovers, but it's more than low enough for most people.

Thanks for the details. If your budget is flexible, you will get the best results with coilovers which have individual dampen / rebound controls.
Mixing and matching shocks and springs works for some but the risk is matching softer shock with a stiffer spring. This combination leads to a bouncy ride, where the shock struggles to manage the oscillation of the spring. |

That shouldn't be the case with any of the shocks that were mentioned. Koni and Bilstein both make high quality equipment that can keep up with any of the aftermarket offerings.
