I like that chrome trim; wish mine had it. If the dark metallic brown 328i that was on the lot at the same time as my gold one had had the chrome trim, I'd probably have gone for it. But the black trim against the dark brown made the car look unfinished.

yeah it's loud. I ended up adding the Helmholtz res to please the wife. but i also think it's worse in the 8sp from what i've read in other threads and the gearing causes more droney noise.

If all else fails, add a vibrant ultra-quiet res and call it a day. Or could put an aftermarket muffler in place of the stock one.
