Questions about a BMW F32 conversion to a F82 M4

This is my first post on a forum guys so please take it easy on me

I've seen quite a few people have done this conversion now and contemplating on doing it myself (for the sake of the price difference on an M-Performance kit and an M4 Kit) . But one thing i've noticed is that they have also all changed the front wings/quarters on the F32 to the F82 wings. My question is if this is necessary? Can the F82 front bumper be fitted to an F32 without any issues?

The kits i have found online are made for F32 > F82 conversions but dont include the wings but they have not specified if the wings are necessary.

Any help is much appreciated

BMW sells a conversion kit it starts at $70k but you can trade your old parts to offset the cost. Look on the website under "M4."

Since he's in Ireland, I don't think $70k will get him far...

As for "conversion":
- if for looks -- OK, your choice, wasting own money
- if you expect it to behave like an M, you will be disappointed

You'll be hard pressed to find people that will support this conversion, as this forum tends to hate on faux F8x projects. I'm in that camp as well, but I'm also in the camp that thinks every question deserves an answer so:

You can fit an aftermarket F8x bumper to the OEM F3x fenders no problem. Just make sure you get a bumper designed for the F3x not the F8x. Plenty of people have done it.

Oh yeah the M camp....yeah bitches ruined the BMW experience for all us normal folks.

Go for it bro....love people working on their cars. Like what rjdnyy224 said you can replace the bumper with aftermarket M3 style bumper. The rear bumper might need more work as the exhaust are not on the same location.

I somewhat agree with what you guys are saying, I remember the S4 and RS4 fad back in 2010 when B7 Audi A4’s became affordable and everyone in town had an RS4 kitted and Badged A4. I’ve already had a 420d X-Drive in White and bought the full genuine carbon fibre kit as we own a car dealership and get extensive discount from retail (rrp was £1800+VAT where as we paid £1300 as we can claim the VAT from parts fitted to cars we sell) but in the Northern Ireland market and car scene every 3rd and 4th car you see is an M-performance kitted 3 series 4 series or 5 series with the stickered up sill and the matte black counterfeit front splitter etc. This time I wanted to try something different with the BMW scene here as there is nothing I hate more than being a clone (considering selling the 3 week old wheels as there are over 10 other BMW’s in the area with the same wheels). As there are many who haven’t done the F82 conversion i thought it was a viable route to take as it’s not that badly priced at £850 for the complete front and rear bumpers with all grills and fittings, I just need it all painted at an extra £150. And on an estoril blue 4 series I think it would look pretty well. But thanks for the opinions good & bad as it’s good to know what the preferences out there are. I’ll attach some photos when the project is done whether I choose option A or B to see what you guys think 👍 attached images of the last F32 I had and want to change it up a little

Sounds like you have a really nice community of simmer enthusiast around you, even it makes your car less unique Have fun with whatever you choose, looks like it'll turn out well if your last car is any indication!
