235/40-18 vs 245/40-18 on 18x8.5- Anyone have pics?
Picking up some 18x8.5 VMR wheels and debating between 235/40 and 245/40 tires. Looking for pics installed on that size wheel. The 235s are quite a bit cheaper and leaning to go that way if they dont look odd on that spec wheel.

My vote would be 245/40R18. I’m using that tire size on a 400m wheel (18x8) and the tire sits really square. I’d assume on a 18x8.5 it would also sit really square, if your looking for that type of look. I agree it is more expensive but IMO it’s worth it for the square look and the better traction (even though i’m AWD).
I threw some pictures on so you can see. i don’t have any spacers or anything. Sorry my car is very dirty in the pictures. Edit: My photos never uploaded. Trying to get it to upload. give me a minute Last edited by Slumped335; 11-26-2023 at 09:25 AM.. Reason: My photos never uploaded |

Here are 235/40/18 on 18x8.5" ET38. They look good on a lowered car.

235/45/18s all round on my Style 397s for winter (Goodyear all season tyres):
And Goodyear Assym6s in 235/45/18s for summers: Zero issues and the car drives/handles superbly
