Code 420641 car wont leave park gear
I have 2017 bmw 440xi
Car wont leave parking gear It would switch to D N or R for a second and go back to park I tried clearing code but it’s permanent I think I also tried reflashing the car to stock XPH map still no difference

Did you ever fix it? I have same problem, as it becomes cooler at night, it happens more often on first start up. Once it comes out of park, does not seem to happen when car is warm.

Hey, anyone else had same issue, its getting colder out and its happening again. Code is 420641 Parking lock: incorrectly applied. Replaced green parking solenoid in valve body but did not help.

Having same issue :/ a solid answer would be dope but it seems like all diff things cause/fix this. From low fluid to blown fuses

Just replaced mechatronics, issue persists, smh.
Replacing the mechatronics was the result I was given in ISTA+, so apparently it's not as accurate of a software as I'd hoped. Back to the drawing board.
