Dash cam install

Looking to have someone install a dash-cam in the rear view mirror area of my 2013 328i in the South Jersey/Philly area.. anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry, I have no idea about the cost. Easy place to get to. Just drive west on Market Street to around where the EL ends.

You can find these cameras for $50, even on Amazon. The hardest part will be just hiding the wire. The easy part will be just tapping into a cigarette lighter outlet from the back end. Splice the wire and connect to that, so this way the camera goes on and off with the ignition (cigarette lighters are connected to the ignition). It's honestly a 2-3 hour (maximum) job for someone with no experience. I strongly suggest you do it yourself. If you do bring it to an electronics shop (best buy?), it shouldn't take them more than an hour. Ask them for their hourly rate ($70?).

why dont you just run a wire through the roof liner, along the pillar into the power outlet under the glove box?

no splicing/10 minute jobs/always reversible/free
