CIC to NBT Evo Retrofit - Random restarts & NO SIGNAL

Hello Everyone

I drive a 2012 328i - It cam with a CIC head unit & Navigation. I wanted to retrofit a NBT Evo Head unit mostly to have CarPlay capability. I installed the head-unit following most of the notes / insights from this forum. After the installation and coding done -- The head unit is either restarting randomly to a NO SIGNAL screen, and doesn't come back till i leave the car turned off for a little bit.

This is not my video but I am in a very similar situation --

Been stuck with this situation for about 45 days now. I am in San Jose, California -- struggling to find help.

Any idea / suggestions please ?

I do not know that this is the issue, but that HU unit is not what is used in a F3x series.

It has some different connections and options.

Just some extra background information, the OP did work on the quad lock connector and spliced some of the wires in there. It seems like either the power or can pins are not properly making contact to the HU because when he holds it in a certain way, it will power on.

This HU will work on this car provided that it is coded accordingly.

I got a new quad lock without any spliced wires -- all the connectors are intact and in place...
