Going +1 on tires. Cons?
OEM = Bridgestone Potenza S-001 RFT
FF 225/40/19 Diameter = 26.1", Revs / Mi. 798 RR 255/35/19 Diameter = 26", Revs / Mi. 801 ________________________________ +1 = Michelin Pilot Super Sport NON-RFT FF 235/40/19 Diameter = 26.4", Revs / Mi. 787 RR 265/35/19 Diameter = 26.3", Revs / Mi. 790 Is there something else I should be concerned with? Thanks in advance to all the wheel, tire and TPMS experts. Last edited by G30 B58; 12-16-2014 at 01:43 PM.. |

Going to "correct" your speedometer to something closer to actual (they usually read 2% fast).
You probably won't be able to put chains on the rear - will be too close to spring/shocks or fenders. But pretty much all oversizing does that anyway. |

I'm running the describe tire size with 35 offset in the front and 37 in the back with no issues. I used the following link when doing research.

can you post a pic of how they look and describe the difference in the feel? did you drop it or use spacers?

Sorry to revive an old thread...I am finally making the move to non run flats and the idea of going +1 intrigues me. So please excuse the ignorance but what is the benefit of going +1? From looking at my stock tires it looks like they are slightly stretched so will +1 make the tire sidewalls more flush with the tire or will it bulge?

As noted above, the speedometer is closer to correct and the little bit of added height really helps fill up the wheel wells nicely. I'm old(er) and old school, I hate the stretched tire look even the slight stretch from the factory. I love the "meaty flush" look that the wider tires gives. When it's time for replacement, I'll do it again. |

Most noticeable on the bottom. Just the slightest bulge past the lip of the wheel. Had this on my phone and had to zoom in a bit but you get the idea.
Note, I believe there is a 12 mm spacer on that wheel. tboooe |
