APEX offers an 18 x 9.5 et35 wheel, but does not list it on their website as compatible for the f30. I've seen multiple members on the forum who run this wheel width and offset with no problems in the rear. How come no one runs arc-8's in this sizing?

I'm wondering because I was going to buy a set of ARC-8s in 18 x 8.5s et38 up front with a 12mm spacer and 18 x 9.5s et35 in the rear. I would run a square setup but I want the extra width in the rear.

I want to have the same setup as the f30 in the pictures below except replace the 8.5 et38 + 18mm in the rear with a 9.5 et35.

Yes but what about the 9.5 wides? Especially with the aggressive offset

Rears will fit fine. That car with the 18mm spacer is running 18x8.5 +20, which would translate to the same fitment as x9.5 +30.

What tire/size and any spacers involved?

I run 18x9 ET42 on all four corners and require a at least a 5 mm spacer (I run a 10mm Burger)for the 255/40 Pilot AS3+ to clear the strut.

Same wheel with a 235/40 dunlop direzza fits fine without spacers.
Another member is running 255/40 Pilot Super Sports with no spacers.

I will say, the AS3+ is a beefy tire.

One last question.. What tire size would be ideal for the 18 x 9.5 in the rear? I was thinking either 255/40, 265/35, or 275/35. I would be running a 235/40 up front

275/35-18 should work just fine out back... MEATY!

mines staggered.. 18x8.5 et35 front and 18x9 et42 rear with the stock rfs
which are 225/45 front and 255/40 rear.. with no spacers

Wheels: four 17x9.5 35et
Tires: Nitto nt01 275/40/17

Had these wheels for two years now, balances well, zero issues.

How much negative camber are you running in the front?

sub'd for more info. I have been thinking about doing a 18x9.5 square setup all around on my F30. Ideally would like to run that width with maybe 265 or 275 size tires all around. I have 19x9.5 on the rear for mine now with 275s and I like that look. Just want to downsize to 18s for some more meat and rim protection.

Apex has stated on their site that they attempted to fit an 18 X 9.5 in the front on the f30 but it was unachievable without rubbing. Although, with aggressive front camber and spacers it would most likely be achievable (see post above with the 17 x 9.5s)
There seem to be three options
1. Buy a square set of 9.5 wides + coilovers/camber plates + spacers and pray they fit
2. Buy a square set of 9 wides and have to go down to in tire size. Plus you'll lose the "face 3" concavity of the 9.5s
3. Buy a staggered set up with 9.5 in rear and 8.5/9 in front. You'll be able to have the concavity and width in the back plus the clearence in the front. However, you'll be sacrificing the reduction in oversteer and the longevity of your tires.
I'll most likely be going with option 3 as I don't want to risk buying wheels that don't fit. Just my two cents

Ahh yeah I figured the 9.5 all around would be a tough fit especially in the front. I am running a 8.5/9.5 F/R setup now but in 19s. I don't rub and I don't run any spacers. I will probably stick with the same setup I have now but in 18s I guess.

Yeah it's kind of a bummer but oh well. I was thinking I would run a 235/40 front with 275/35 rear or a 245/40 front with a 285/35 rear. I would like to run the 245/285 combo because that would be the closest to stock tire height but I'm not sure if the rear 285 would even fit. Gonna have to do more research

245/285 combo would definitely be awesome. I run a 245/275 setup now and its nice to see the 275s from behind haha.

ok, I know have a question. Why wouldn't the arc-8 18x9 ET30 work all for corners without spacers? I currently run the 18x9 et42 with a 10mm spacer up front , so effectively that's et32 and a 12mm in the back for et30. I'd really like to run without spacers if possible, so that's why I'm asking

So 18x9 et30 up front would be really close to poking excessively. I'm actually considering it but I'm really worried about the tire poke. I actually just started another thread recently asking about the fitment because I would love to run 18x9.
