I have px3 7.1 Unit and i'm would like to know if it is possible to use steering wheel button to change song in Spotify or Deezer .i mean next and previous .

Also it should be nice if ok Google work

Recently i had unit with android 7.1 and it has built in function to steer songs from steering wheel in apps (spotify, tidal, etc.) but i had to start music player or bluetooth app before and then exit from those apps.

Ok Finally I have succeeded to install the android screen (Black screen 10.25 inch display, Qualcom 8 core, 4G RAM, 64G stoage with 4G LTE):
- The "no signal" message was due to a badly plugged power harness.
- No need to run an AUX cable as the sound is perfectly working on android and BMW part (sound quality on android side is the same as on the BMW side)
- I have installed the GPS antenna inside the dashboard and keep receiving a very good signal strength and GPS fix is nearly instant. so no need to install the antenna on a visible place.

I have changed the android UI to ID6 as I don't like the ID7 part.
So far everything is working perfectly through wifi tethering. I did not yet test the 4G LTE.

Will update after a week of full tests.

one thing though, As I had an 6.5 inch display, I got a half display image on the BMW side, I know that I need to do some coding to configure the CAR on an 8.8 inch, so how would I do this ? thanks.

Hello, i am from spain, i´ve put yesterday this radio, but for bmw e87. I have some question i would like to answer me guys..

1º Can i change the dashboard theme? I have the old theme, and i want the new which it has a lot of new gauges for se rpm and that things of the car..

2º I have bought an android auto dongle, this works good with the touchscreen of the radio, but if i use de idrive controll it doesnt work.. anysolution?

3º Can i eddit the shortcuts of the homescreen? Like, i want to have an icon where i can see the bluetooth music and control them directly.. it is too bad if i have to entry in bluetooth menu and bluetooth music to chose it..

And finaly, i have an ccc idrive, but i dont have the wire to connect idrive ccc to screen.. Where can i buy it?

You'll have to code your HU for that. If you have BimmerCode it should be relatively easy, just change the following in Expert Mode:

HU_NBT> 3000 HMI > DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION = 10.25_1280x480
HU_NBT> 3001 EXBOX > DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display

When I switch to android side, the OEM side selects automatically aux input,
- I think, it is pre-configured/wired on the harness connections (I didn't any thing special while wiring).
- In android factory settings there are two modes for "Aux switching mode", need to select "automatic switching".

Ok I will make a quick test, the thing is , i didn't install the 4g antenna, it is some kind of antenna that goes with the screen like the gps one, but I think that it is really not needed. I will make the test and let you know.

Hello i have upgraded my ccc unit from android 7.1 to unit with android 9.0 but from MEKEDE (not Navifly) but i think its still the same....
But i have problem,
Bluetooth connection is reconnecting with my Iphone (ios 12.4 and tested with 13beta8) over and over.... With phone with android 9 connection is more stable.
Unit is not detecting microsim card... i tried 3 working cards and it shows still that i didnt insert any... Options about simcard in andriod setup are inactive...
Have you got this issues ?

I did not yet test the sim card , I have only tested the micro sd card, it hell of a pain to put a micro sim card behind the screen when it is installed (I have tried and the sim card has fall inside the screen to the sd card hole), I have ordered a sim card extender to test this part , as soon as I receive the extender, I will perform the test.
It is something like this, but beware the sim card port is the first one from the top.

Hello, I have ordered a rear view camera, the question is , do I really need to remove the negative battery entry before performing the mounting ?
I have mounted the android screen without disconnect any battery, the thing is it said in BMW documentation in here:

Disconnecting and connecting the battery may lead to :
1- when the vehicle battery is disconnected, fault memories may be set in some control units.
2- The on-board computer and clock may lose your data.


So we suppose that I don't have to disconnect the battery, there is no risks that the back seat side airbag will be activated when removing the C/D back pillar to pass the cable under those panels as shown in "1" on this image ?

I have fixed all issues, Bluetooth and 4g lte connection works perfectly.

I have an Andorid 7.1 HU, and I use it mainly for CarPlay and rear camera.
Yesterday I've noticed that a new version of AutoPlay was available, to be more precise:
- Software version:2019.07.24.1644
- Box version: 2019.07.29.1453

After installing it, a new field was available in the AutoPlay settings:
MICROPHONE: CAR - BOX

Has anyone noticed that? Is there the possibility, in some way, to use the original bmw microphone? I've tried to disable the Bluetooth on my phone and call a friend, but he told me audio wasn't good, so it was not using the original bmw microphone..

Great! In my case, the supplier (Eunavi) stated that it had 3G & 4G connecitivity and wifi, but it only had wifi.
