Best pads for my car
I have a 2013 335 M Sport RWD without the blue brakes. I wanted to get better performing pads to match my driving style without having to shell out serious coin. I have a quote from Turner Motorsports that should work but they are oem pads I believe from a different kit if that makes sense. I know some people in here run hawk, pagid, etc on their cars and need opinions. This is the turner product list.

EBC has pads for the standard 335i brakes (grey calipers)
Red Stuff: https://www.shopebcbrakes.com/EBC-Re...es/p99668?sku= Yellow Stuff https://www.shopebcbrakes.com/EBC-Ye...es/p99672?sku= Remember our front pads are the same as Msport & M3 brakes. The rear pads is whats killing us. A few people have posted that E90 335i rear pads fit, and from countless images they look like it would.

Pads
These are next on my list, while maybe not a street/track pad, they perform well and have minimal dust.

I've had the EBC Red Stuff on other cars. Good performance for street, but maybe not a track pad. If you are hauling ass on the freeway, they will slow you down quick, but they may fade with repeated aggressive stops and track driving. They do dust less and are quiet when cold so those are big positives for a street car.
EBC does make a rear set for the single piston calipers. DP32131C is the part number. |

Update on my situation. I figured that I may as well do rotors for better cooling and lines while I?m there so this is the updated items. It?s so expensive so I may need to think for a little. I know stop tech has a package with pads and rotors i just want to make sure I have that same oem brake feel with the added stopping power.

The only way youre gonna get better cooling is either improved duct work, or bigger (thicker) rotors.
Fancy slots and drills wont do much unless you use it in a severe duty track environment. They are purely for the cool points. Plus they eat up pads faster. Best bet is a blank rotor from BMW, Zimmerman, Brembo, R1 etc....and a set of pads that match your need. EBC yellows are entry level track pads, but they dust like OEM. They are comparable to HP+'s minus the cold bite of the hawks, which also dust like a Mofo. Unfortunately I do not think there is a HP+ pad for us gray caliper peeps yet. I know, it was in my link lol. Theres yellows too

Sorry to jack the thread, but on a related note I recently converted to the blue M brakes all around, and while they seem to function perfectly fine, I can hear what sounds like the pads rubbing on the rotors while driving.
When I took the wheel off and rotated the disc manually, I could hear the rubbing until I pulled the pads back and compressed the piston. Is there some adjustment I'm missing or is this a function of having rotors with dimples/slots on this car? I did a BBK swap on my Volvo S60 years ago and don't recall this being an issue.

I got a lightly used kit from a member on the forums here awhile back that included calipers, two sets of pads, new rotors, and ECS braided lines for all four corners. I've ordered new pad springs and guide bolts just to see if that helps.
EDIT: It was actually the ones in this thread: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1352442

I read on the turner motorsport page that M sport pads offer better feel and bite than M performance. Is that true of the discs? Better to go the M sport non dimpled and grooved over the M performance?

Upgraded brake lines outside of a track environment is a waste of money; stainless steel braided lines are also more prone to damage (dirt and debris find their way in between braids and damage the line). |

Abrasion "resistant"... key wording. Should I just tag you in all of my posts so you could follow me around and scrutinize every technicality?
