I received my 6.5'' IC last week and only 2 screws was included, not 2 sets of screw and no rubber washers.

I've contacted vrsf and they told me that only 2 screws was included.

there's no top mount hole on my IC. that would be useful

I know I won't be the first one to use only the regular mounting tab but I'm a bit worried about the weight increase and the fact that it will only hold by 2 screws. ok they are longer than the oem but still...

extra weight + condition of the roads in my area might give a hard time to the plastic thread over time... we'll see I guess.
Even the VRSF race IC is held on by two screws. And i didnt even use the ones it came with, i used the OEM ones.

That's a solid statement(as usual of course haha)

If the shorter oem screws are good enough for a race IC, I shouldn't be worried about those provided(or the oem) with the comp HD IC

Did you received the rubber washer with your IC?

No rubber washer with race. Not sure why that's with the comp honestly... i wouldn't overthink it. Just use OEM screws unless your holes are starting to get stripped out. IIRC the VRSF ones are larger, so if you install, you'll never be able to go back to OEM.

Wagner supply some nice fixings, there a self tapper one side and a metric thread the other,so you can screw them in with an allen key ,till them bottom out , then fit a flanged nut to secure the intercooler

FWIW MTC who make a bunch of copies (I believe) have a recommendation of fitting support plates for their 6" IC.

I questioned them about the recommendation and was just told previous customers made their own to help support it which reinforces my statement of them making copies and not actually engineering it lol
