Huawei P20 Pro
Looking to get this phone to upgrade my Galaxy S8. The look of the P20 Pro really caught my eye, the gradient finish is stunning and of course the triple camera setup is in a league of its own.
Do any of you guys have one of these? Be interested in your thoughts on it |

Almost went for one but it doesn't have wireless charging, so I went for the sony xz2, wich I'm very happy with. However if the P20 pro had wireless charging I would have bought it over the Sony

I have it. Well i bought two one for me and the mrs.
I am a tech consultant and been working with technology over 15 years now. I can honestly say its the best smartphone I've ever owned. Prior I have had 3 Sony's. 2 Google Nexus devices and a Samsung. If you are after a good camera phone then the P20 Pro is the phone to get, it is just stunning the amount of amazing pictures I have taken with this phone is countless. It has very good performance and a good display. It may be missing wireless charging but with the included super charger do you really need it? In 15 mins i get about 35% battery power. Software updates are quick and easy over other phones such as Samsung. Fingerprint sensor on the front which I much prefer and the face unlock is by far the quickest unlock in the market, it is soo quick it put iPhone X to shame. Previous Huawei's had a lot of bloatware and the UI was not easy but they have improved it alot and they have a massive Theme's section for your liking. Of course you can always put your own preferred launcher such as Nova. If you're not a Samsung or Apple fanboy then go for it mate...

Plus, with it being Chinese designed, the secret chips contained within will be busy logging your details to sell to the highest bidder or gov etc..

Don't take any dick pics unless:
A) You want the Chinese to get them. B) You want to see your dick in hyper-real HDR. C) You want to try out the Macro mode. |

At 799 it’s not what you’d call cheap.
Samsung is Korean, Huawei is Chinese.. no difference in quality |

I was drawn to check out this phone after the excellent user review of it above.
The price tag unfortunately halted my interest abruptly - I just can't justify spending near enough £800 on a phone. I've bought my last few phones and pay just £10 a month for calls and data. My two year old Xperia Z5 is going to be a stubborn barrier to a high outlay phone - as long as it keeps working. |

I've had it since launch, love it to bits, best phone I've had, the camera takes stunning photos, especially in the dark, the AI makes people look really good on the photos, smoothens faces, over saturates etc lol, but keeps everyone happy
I came from an iPhone, was a bit worried if I'd be able to adapt to andriod, the Huawei EMUI is very iOS like, so that helped a lot with the transition too I got a pretty good deal, for the early adopters, they threw in a Bose QC II free of charge as well, the phone ended up costing me about £500 or so (with the minutes), very happy with it...

I got one and haven’t used it much as i can’t transfer everything from iphone to it but i really like the phone.
One niggle. The fingerprint button acts like a home button and its very sensative, when reading with one hand i always manage to touch it abit and it make me go back to home screen. |

So I got my P20 Pro on Wednesday and I sent it back to O2 today. I just didn’t gel with it as much as I thought I would, it wasn’t as speedy as my old S8 and in my opinion it’s biggest downfall is the camera software which ruins the photos, making them look very processed and artificial. It’s a great shame because it has the camera hardware technology to be a game changer and it’s a fantastic looking and well built phone.
Maybe in time Huawei will fix it’s software and I’ll go back to them. For now, it’s replacement will be a Coral Blue Galaxy S9 which I’ll be ordering once O2 receive my Huawei back. |

Strange maybe you had a faulty phone?
P20 Pro is by far the most advanced bit of kit available for the camera part.
