Thanks in advance

Halfords will do roof rails (the car should already have the mount points) and you can hen get the cross-bars on which to put the roof box.

People I know rave about Thule bars/rails but they are pricey - ideally you'd want something isn't square but rounded/curved, but depends how often you would use them as the squared-off ones are cheaper.

I was contemplating this myself but in end I didn't need to use them.

If it's just a one off, there are places that will hire the whole lot and fit them as well, obviously you need to go there. I know of a place on Welwyn Garden City that offers this service.

Beyond that, I don't know much more as it wasn't something I needed to use in the end.

I've used Thule for years, always liked that I could be interchangeable accessories that will work across cars.

Just bought some new wing bars for the 330e now the tourer is gone, which seem quieter than my previous aero bars, but still able to use my old bike carriers.

I'd used the previous bars on 5 or 6 different cars, with just a new fitting pack or foot pack needed.

Highly recommend Thule wingbar edge roof bars. Pretty well silent.

I also had a Thule roofbox. Very easy to fit.

Thule is expensive, but worth it.

Check out the deals at Halfrauds. Roof box and bars for £390.
I think it's pretty good value for what it is Bars alone are £163....
When I got mine they offered the choice of Thule Wing Aluminium or the Exodus bars, I opted for Thule then my local Halfrauds gave me a further choice of silver or black bars. Knowing the black bars were £20 dearer and that they look nicer I took that option before they had chance to think again

Darren. My recommendation: Atera roof bars and Kamei Corvara box.

Depending on dates you are welcome to pop down and borrow mine for a try before you buy. WhatsApp me.

I got the BMW bars and they have been OK and easy to install. I got them because when I was buying my last car, we were fighting over the price and I ended up agreeing to pay $200 more than I wanted but I got a $200 credit at the parts department. The rack was something I could use.
