Buying wheels this week, please peep my specs

I just wanted to confirm my final wheel and tire size before pulling the trigger. If you guys wouldn’t mind taking a look and making sure I won’t rub or poke out past the fenders. I do plan on lowering.

2013 335i XDrive - stock m sport wheels square setup now

Wheels I want are 20x8.5 et 30 square
Tires I want are 245/35/20 I live in the northeast so I don’t mind a little extra rubber.

What do you guys think? Any pics?

should fit ok. I run 20x8.5 et +35(pics below) 245/30/20 and they fit great no rub or anything ever. if you look closely at the front end pic, you can see I still have quite a bit of wheelwell left to spare, along with room on the inner portion near suspension components. you should be ok with a 35 aspect, it shouldn't rub on stock suspension but lowered, I couldn't tell you.

Thank you! Nice wheels!

I am also now considering 255/30/20. This will keep almost the same diameter as stock. These should fit fine on the front... right?

while 245/35/20(26.8") fills the fenderwell gap and gives 0.4" more sidewall protection it also raises the total height 0.4" and is close to the spring perch, http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...54&postcount=1. at +30, it will poke slightly and the outer front tire shoulder may rub the inner fenderwell liner at full lock because of the tall 26.8" diameter and +30 offset. personally, i think meaty tires(for poor roads) on 20's ruins the look(starts looking SUVish) and you're better off switching to 19's with appropriate diameter if you want more sidewall.

255/30/20(max width on 8.5") is 26"(oem) diameter however the tire shoulder will be poking more than the 245/35 and again, there may be a possibility or the outer shoulder rubbing the front fenderwell liner because of 255's width and +30 offset.

i'm not sure which will be closer in rubbing at full lock but personally, i'd go with the 255/30. down sizing a notch to 245/30/20(25.8") will fit without any problem.

adding negative camber will mitigate rubbing and can be added during alignment and also increases as you lower your car

EDIT: Sorry, fixed the link

Thank you! The wheels I am getting have a step lip, so the 20s end up looking more like 19s. 19s would just be too small for this car.

I guess at this point I'm just looking for anyone with a 8.5 wide front wheel and a +30 offset to let me know if they have ever ran a 255/30/20

Thanks again
