I had a lot of problems with the Dinan. I've been on an aFe Momentum for about 3 months now with no issues.

Edit: sold. That was quick. Didn't know these things were so sought after.
Pm me if you guys can't work out a deal. I have a mppk lower airbox that isn't being used and would be happy to offer. Now that I think of it I'll be posting in the classifieds shortly.

I can tell you now that its not better i have been using the momentum for over a year and thought it had to be better. Jeremy challenged to check againa nd low and behold not only is my car stronger up top and Im currently just using a stock drop in and stock lower box, I can see it being even better with the MPPK lower and the AFE drop in. But the car spools faster, runs smoother, and low and behold has stronger mid range.

I’ve had a BMS, Dinan, and then the MPPK box with drop in - it’s been the best.

I took off my MPPK box to sell to another member, and I can't tell if it's the noise or what...but the car feels softer and less responsive. I'm not saying it adds power per say, I'm just saying I noticed something

Also, if you messaged me about this, it's pending. I need some time to get to the post office before it closes, I've just been working later every night. That's life.

here's two logs of my stock f30 n55 with MPPK, first is with stock paper filter(charcoal layer) and second is with the AFE dry filter.

unfortunately not the same day and approx 2°c in temperature difference between log. I also done 1st to 4th gear log for each filter, I'll post them if there's interest.

mppk + stock filter: https://datazap.me/u/elcouzin/stock-4th-1

mppk + AFE dry filter:

It recently got very hot and humid here on Long Island. Having a P3 gauge, I've kept it on IAT a lot. Black car, 90 degree days...After it heat soaks, even the ER race IC is having a hard time keeping up with the IATs. I took some blue tape and blocked off the top vents off the aFe momentum. Waiting for another hot day to see how it really does.

I still have my stock intake with K&N drop in.

It looks like the MAF values may have increased very slightly but its just within the noise. It's hard to measure the difference with just a filter change.

The WGDC looks way lower but i highly doubt all of that was from the filter.

could it be because of the colder temperature?

That's a factor but 2C is nothing. Could be other things that made you have a lower DA (density altitude) but its like 6-7% WGDC different which is quite a bit. Either way its good

It's been raining nonstop here, by the time I stop working, it's already damp out usually (and late).

I want to do one clean log with the MPPK and stock lower bottom, because maybe it's the sound, but I swear there is a difference.

I can imagine there would be a non-negligible different in throttle response at tip in, and maybe a small impact on WGDC as well if the single opening in the stock bottom is restricting airflow a bit.
