F33 Convertible Rear Trunk Spoiler

I know this particular point isn't talked about too much but I'd like to know if anyone with an F33 convertible has bought and installed a rear spoiler? Post some pictures! If not, does anyone know where I could possibly purchase a good looking one? Preferably ABS plastic, but carbon fiber is ok as well. Thank you!

Having just purchased a 2016 F33, I also started looking for rear spoiler options. Found these two on amazon

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYJ40M8...v_ov_lig_dp_it
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074XF47SC...v_ov_lig_dp_it

Several options listed on eBay as well. Everything does appear to only be available in carbon fiber. Still deciding if that is a show stopper for me. Good luck in finding what you are looking for.

Those look pretty good, but I'm not sure as far as quality would go for these spoilers. Buying them from non brand/OEM manufacturers makes me think about how good the fitment would be and if the carbon fiber would not yellow or come disfigured in anyway. ebay also has some but it's hard to find that P-style. I feel that goes much better with the 435i convertible.

I thought about it but haven’t bought one. I bought an ebay front lip but am hesitant to install it. So I probably shouldn’t buy a spoiler. It’ sit in the garage with the front lip

I purchased one a few years ago for my wife's Mercedes-Benz C300, it was a painted to match version, but quality was (and continues to be) good. But you are correct, no way to really know if the CF will yellow or otherwise degrade over time. I also found this one: https://ind-distribution.com/collect...-trunk-spoiler, but the price is crazy. I'm thinking worse case is if it lasts 3-4 years, you can always pull it off and but another one (or maybe more options will exist by then). I'm most likely going to get one in the next month or so and will report back with pictures and a fitment report. -Lance

Yea purchasing from eBay always gives me second thoughts about installation. But I try and fish through as many items as I can and try to find the best out of them. I purchased an ABS plastic front splitter, unpainted so it's matte black, and installed it and I'm very happy with it. I didn't want to go CF due to knowing it would break and ruin the whole look.

Yea that spoiler is just too expensive and I feel it doesn't fit the styling of the F33 as much as the F83. I'll keep looking and see if I can find a suitable one and post it on here

Hey! Yeah I picked up a CF spoiler for my f33. Figment was perfect and I wanted to go for an OEM+ look, so didn’t get any sharky-m4 looking one. Just a nice subtle lip.

Wish I had more photos of the back. I can take more if interested.

Looks great! Just what I was looking for. Do you happen to have a link to this? Or can you take at the links I put in the thread and tell me which one?

I just purchased this one:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fibe...72.m2749.l2649

Waiting for its arrival, but it appears to be VERY similar to the one Nixolas has.

Looks quite similar, but of the two that I have above what do you think would be the closest?

I bought this. Easy install. Color match was great for sapphire metallic. Very happy with it.

Honestly, I personally don't care for either, as I am not a fan of the notch.

The unit I ordered came in on Friday and I got it installed over the weekend. I've attached some pics. Fitment is good.

I agree with you on the Notch. I personally do not like it (or anything aggressive, like the side mirror ones) UNLESS it's an M4 or something.

Feels like the car is trying too hard to be something it is not.

That is why I went with the one like yours, and in my opinion gives the car that subtle edge it needed.

Thank you for the pictures! Looks great with the grey! I too believe that it just needs a subtle rear spoiler to just add the extra aggressiveness. I'll post mine once it is installed.

Apologies for the super late update! After looking at many of the options, I went with a more OEM style spoiler. I prefer the sleekness and the way it compliments the other parts of the car. Although there is one issue. I understand that ordering Carbon Fiber parts on eBay from overseas areas like China and Japan, the parts usually come lower quality. So with that being said after the BMW tech had installed it, he brought up to me that there was uneven spacing on the right and left sides of the taillight. See the pictures below. I have some form of OCD so it did bother me at first but I realize that it's almost unnoticeable. As long as you center it based on the trunk and not the taillight, it's should look great. Besides that, I have honestly been very happy with the purchase. Considering the price and how well its held up so far, I would recommend it.

Link: Unfortunately the current eBay seller has removed the listing. You may find a similar product if you search for "BMW 4 series F33 P-Style CF Spoiler". Sorry

That's either an OEM M Performance or aftermarket M Performance type rear diffusor that has been custom painted (partial surface coverage).

Much like this one (similar to it):

Thanks I ordered one froms Kiesmotorsports. I hope the fitment is good as I see that it can vary between vendors even though they all look the same (and maybe from same Chinese mfg).
