JB4 Wiring Help

Hi all! I recently purchased a used jb4 PWG for my 2013 BMW F30 N55. The original main connector was in pretty bad shape so I replaced it with a new one and new pins. It has the red wire for power and black for ground but it looks like the red wire was cut from the original harness spool of wires. Is that how it's supposed to be? If someone can post a pic of their 25 pin harness with connected wires so I know that the one I have is not missing anything I would really appreciate it!

There are several different systems and they run different power wire arrangements. The latest V2 PWG systems don't have an external power wire at all. Best bet is probably to just buy a new wiring harness. They have them for $250 on their site.
