I don't think it would trip for that (others might chime in and say otherwise). If the glass shattered, I believe it would have tripped (or if you jack up the car to steal the wheels).
PS.. Sorry... that seriously sucks.... |

Thanks Wires, it was a weird situation because when it was delivered the windscreen actually had a 4" crack starting from the top down which the auction house had not reported and later in the day after driving it the crack was across the whole windscreen so I had arranged to get it replaced tomorrow anyway, the scumbags simply finished the job for me, man this country is in trouble

Yep shitty England, Morecambe in fact. I've got a dashcam in ready, just need to hardwire it in and off we go, I'm having cctv installed too. I just want to know what happened and why, the only possible house with cctv that may of picked it up the owners are on holiday so I'm praying their system still holds the day in question!

That does suck. I'm sorry this happened to you, some people are really asses. I know the alarm on my wife's 440 goes off with the top down and locked when I simply reach into the space of the interior to sit a shopping bag on the rear seat. I would think it would go off for something this forceful, but I really wouldn't know since it's external to the car and I really haven't tested any of those scenarios.

When my family had a store in Detroit back in the day, we had a theft where some dudes took off with relatively expensive merchandises (diamond jewelry, "retail" $3k - 10k). My brother and dad actually caught 1 or 2 out of the 4 or 5 - but still missing 2 pieces - and called Detroit police. Long story short, the POLICE DETECTIVES advised my dad not to press charges and let them go, and forget about the unrecovered items. Why? He said their friends will fuck us up and burn the store down. We had them on camera, caught em red handed, and had witnesses. Still lost out. So, dad sold store, worked in quiet 'burbs. |
