Noise around 1400 rpm 320i 2016

Hi,

any idea what is this? Only around 1400 rpm.

Very annoying. No codes and service cannot find any issues. Wheel bearings are ok.

Noise is not there when idling.

Thanks !

Not 100% sure what I am listening for, I’ve tried headphones and speakers and can’t make much out. Can you describe which noise and I can take another listen for it?

I hear it. That would annoy me too.

I have a 320i -I'll have to listen carefully to see if mine makes that sound, I don't think it does and I have no idea what it could be. But I hope you get to the bottom of it promptly.

It is a kind of whining/screeching. I have winter tyres on so there is much noise from them that makes it difficult to hear.

Service confirmed that differential seems to have issues and produce much noise. I have to take it in to official service so they can discuss with BMW. Nice..

Sorry to hear it, hope it's all taken care of quickly! I'm interested to know what happened inside the diff.

I will let you know. Non official service suspected that it sounds like there is no oil in differential. But they didnt want to touch it, as official service should investigate and contact BMW.
