Nice job. I agree, this is a good upgrade and relatively easy to do.
Careful buying an 8.8" screen as there is a difference between LCI and pre-LCI (both will work but pre-LCI on an LCI F30 will result in a blueish tint) - see more info here: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1257854 |

I also read the non-full screen post before, I think it was referring to if you have the older version (No EntryNav) and did a direct swap |

I’ve swapped out the screen on a 2017 F34 from 6.5” to 8.8” it’s ENTRYNAV2. The setting you would need to change is 3005 DISPLAY_PIP_CONFIG. CID DISPLAY set to 8.8 CID DISPLAY RESOLUTION 1240x480, DISPLAY VARIANTE=breites display. The other thing you need to change is the separate navigtion screen size otherwise it’s not in full screen. You can then use split screen which is fantastic. I will post some pictures shortly. The screen that you need is 6822626

Anybody knows the BMW number (?) or name of 2 screws Torx-20 that hold the screen?
I released them and one disappeared inside of a car, so meanwhile I want to order the new one. Thanks in advance, |

Hi again,
I already wrote in a different topic but maybe someone knows in this one. I have BMW F30 LCI with ENTRYNAV head unit (w/o navigation), bought from eBay and installed 8.8 LCI display (9387453). Coded it with two mentioned previously by topic starter codings and nothing happens. The screen is still black. I'm almost sure that technically it is working since The display seems almost brand new, no scratches, clean and additionally before I bought it seller provided image that it indeed works (I know that this can be different display but nobody will sell broken and say that it is working). |

The NAV is the hint for the Navigation. Did you only change the display or the headunit too? |
