Short Shifter Experiences Please
Pacific BMW has 20% off for Mother's Day (promo code P051219). I was considering getting M Performance Shift Knob but I don't actually like the knob, I just want a shorter shift. I was planning on keeping the stock knob.
I don't track the car, it is my DD, but I want a better shifting experience. My goal is to make the car feel like a true sports car. Any recommendations? I have read mixed reviews of the BMS shifter. Quick Google search shows Turner has a short shifter too. All input appreciated! |

If you haven't already, add a clutch stop. Best $10 you can spend.
Shortening the pedal travel a bit can also make for quicker shifts...and just feels better overall. |

Also get rid of the clutch delay valve for better response and reduces clutch wear. Did it on all my previous manual BMWs and never looked back.

I saw the long thread on removing the CDV on f30s and it's beyond my pay grade. My mechanic is pretty competent but the procedure requires so much MacGyvering, I feel odd asking him to perform it. I wish a company would just sell a modified clutch slave cylinder with the CDV removed.
