Hi all!

Guys, I’ve got a problem.
Can not pull out FSC code from NBT2 2015 F33 US.
Classic methods are non working (maybe, I’m doing something wrong with esys)

You can pull out the fsc-file from the ID4, that's no problem.
But there is no FSC generator which will work for the ID4/ID5/ID6 Evo maps.

So what is the procedure for updating maps on these systems then? I see numerous websites offering EVO map updates for download, so surely it must be possible.

You can official go to your dealer and buy the maps and FSC (expensiv).
Or you can download the maps yourself and buy the FSC on Ebay or numerous websites.

I presume the commercially available FSC codes are sold by people having access to some BMW database.

Any work currently being done by anyone on a new FSC generator that will work for EVO? And what about the possibilities of hacking/reverse engineering USB stick activation or the firmware files?

Thank you, but the problem is, that I can not get out fsc with all methods, that I know. How should I do it?

Also, about keygen. I saw generator with checkbox id4. Few minutes, I’ll get the link.

Jaeger 1.9 and higher have id4 support, but I hadn’t tried it, because hadn’t pulled out fsc

I did a quick survey on google and I found that for EVO you have to pull out the F0 (F zero) FSC-file in E-sys, instead of DE or 1B for other headunits.

I found this post by Jaeger himself illustrating the process:

It seems he's pulling a 0xDE file in this example, but maybe you can change the Application Number-value to 0xF0 manually. Don't know it this helps you at all.

The keygen is interesting, but keep in mind that Jaeger states that it currently only works for NBT EVOs that still use NEXT style maps.

@spuvdti: sorry for activating this thread again, which type of maps you have, EVO or something else?

I have F31 also MY2016 (Built 2015) with Europe Evo maps.
FSC successfully extracted with esys (used 0xF0 for application number, Base variant identified as HU_NBT2).

USB with Europe 2020-2 maps has been recognized by head unit, code requested by HU, but entered code, generated by latest BMW CIC FSC Generator (v1.9.19, is apparently wrong.

Hi. I have car imported from USA to Eu. I lost navigation during cooding head unit. In this moment i can not open navigation - on the screen i have "Connect USB device with correct activation code to start navigation"
I nned to install new maps for Europe - how can i I do it?

I can generate a code with Jagaer's FSC 1.91, but his radio buttons do not list ID5. And, when I put in the USB stick with the 2021-2 NA map, it never asks to input a FSC. When I did this same process in 2019 with 2019-4, THAT map pulled the FSC code from the file on the USB already.

you need a actual FSC file in ID5 and higher EVOs, to get that file there are two ways:
1. official BMW map update
2. buy aftermarket patch to get that file.
