Ahh, thanks for the heads up. First time that I got to look at graphs on a larger screen. I didn't catch the lower throttle%. That would explain the low numbers in the "after" set, especially if you aren't seeing any change in low rev responsiveness. Thanks!
Thanks, so I plan to order the mst inlet but description I see online says v2 is for hybrid or aftermarket turbos. I have a stock turbo on my 2013 f30 335i. Can someone confirm if v2 will work? Picture looks the same for me
You absolutely want the V2 MST Turbo Inlet with the stock turbo. That opens up the flow to the turbo housing by 40+%. You won't see any gain with the other model.

Just went through the thread. Thanks for the help with selecting the inlet pipe (went with the CTS Inlet Pipe from X-HP). I plan on modifying the stock airbox and keeping my K&N drop-in filter.

I'll do more research on the subject, since some threads mention turbo lag being an issue with certain intakes coupled to the MST V2 intake (which the CTS intake is a clone of). BTW, only mod on my car is the aforementioned drop-in filter and BM3 Stage 1 tune (OTS).

Stock airbox is trash. I noticed a slight difference going to the CTS from the M2/AFE + MST V2.

The difference between the M2/AFE vs stock box/AFE (both on the MST V2 inlet) was greater, to the point I had to drive in sport (stock airbox) to get the same throttle response as I did in comfort (M2) not to mention overall power was greater.

Thanks for clarifying that. I'll look into upgrade the intake. I recently helped a friend install some AFE intakes on his Kia Stinger, and they look like well-made pieces.

Just get one with a big filter - do not do an enclosed unit.

Be prepared for the massive sound difference if you go open intake. Its a person preference thing.

That's a big issue for me. Big intake noise isn't really for me, so your write-up is helpful.

Just cut the hole or get MPPK airbox bottom then with stock intake. You arent really missing any tangible HP gains by going open intake.
