Wheel rash repairs
Thought I would try and repair some wheel rash again--sanded it out and got it smooth. I have some Wurth spray which is a good color match but then the problem is getting a good spray. Read reviews about the shitty nozzle and they aren't kidding.
Practiced with a bit and held the can back, but no matter what I do that "power sprayer" just sprays too much giving runs and gobs of paint. Tried pressing lightly and doing quick spray overs....it's like trying to mist plants with a garden hose nozzle. Anybody used this spray and found a trick to get a clean coating?

Get one of these:
https://www.harborfreight.com/air-to...gun-92126.html and a small compressor, like this: https://www.harborfreight.com/air-to...sor-61615.html Then you can use real paint. The gun is small, but it's all you need for smaller jobs. The same for the compressor, and you'll never have to go looking for a gas station that still has an air pump again to fill your tires. This is where I get my paint: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/index.htm If you don't want to go the sprayer/compressor route their spray bombs work well too. |

so if yer off on the mix and or the process of what base to apply and when to apply a second coat then yer a shade off as far as the mist.. you may be either too close or too far on the can |
