I deleted my resonator on my 335, with the MPE axle-back, there's no drone in comfort on the highway. This is definitely because of the MPE's valve though, so it all depends on that.

My 2018 340i came with the M Performance exhaust. It’s a nice sound, but after watching videos I decided I needed more so I swapped it out for the MPPSK. It’s significantly louder at all rpms, but is totally liveable in sport mode all the time, IMO. The added power won’t blow you away, but is noticeable. In terms of bang for your buck and being worry-free about warranty work, I don’t think it gets any better. Oh and I paid $2386 shipped to the dealer (already had exhaust tips from the MPE).

Can anyone confirm whether the MPE by itself for the 340i (not the MPPSK) retains the valve control like the stock exhaust? A post above suggested there are no valves on the exhaust but the dealer thought there were... again, axle back MPE only. Thanks!

EDIT: Searched and found the answer myself... no valves on the MPE for the 340/440i. There is on the MPE for the 335/435.

Sorry for the thread resurrection.
What is the part number for MPE for 340i?
I don't want/need the full MPPSK just MPE will do.
Thanks in advance

Sorry to revive an old thread. I have the MPE and instead of the ppk I'm on mhd stage one, I wanted to put on a catted DP on but I'm scared it will be too loud (boy racer loud/ricey), my question is if the DP made a night and day difference from the MPE sound? or is it just noticeable if you listen for it? I'm considering Wagner at the moment

I have a MP Exhaust that came with my '15 335ix. I swapped the stock DP for a Fabspeed HJS catted downpipe and the sound got deeper and richer. Really enhanced it. I'm running a BootMod3 Stage2 tune which gives me a lot of control over burbles and pops. But got tired of all that making noise when slowing down. Turned them off completely, not even stock burbles. Now when I step on it you can feel and hear the power. Nothing like a ricer.

I am on the fence on buying a Catback (exhaust and midpipe) for my 2017 440i MSport. A friend sold me a CG DS-1 Catted Downpipe which I haven't installed but I will with the new Catback. The options I am contemplating are a
- Dinan Catback (exhaust and midpipe)
- Akrapovic Catback (but it's expensive)
- MPPSK (obviously Catback too) but I would only get the actual hardware (around $1800), not the software from BMW, possible will get a Bootmod3 Stage 2. ScubaJ813 What are the physical differences from MPE, DINAN and MPPSK Exhaust you mentioned? I know MPE doesn't have the Valve, other than that, any big difference in power or sound, etc? Thank you
