It is, but I personally love the look

Yeah the slats are missing, I'm just experimenting with it at the moment, seeing how I like it. So far I'm a fan of the look. Might wrap the bars behind the grilles a darker colour though if I keep the grilles without slats.

I'd definitely say put the grille slats back in, it looks very odd without them!
