I would strongly suggest you do a LSD if you want all of the power you're planning on making to be usable. They're relatively inexpensive.

After this first phase, I plan on suspension and brakes upgrades at which time I'll consider an LSD. I miss it coming from an E36 M3, however, I have been impressed with the ELSD on the 335i. With DSC and DTC turned completely off I can lay down two nice fat stripes from a burnout.

Yes, this is on par with a PS2 but I prefer the ball bearing design of the BW EFR series over the PS2.

Agree youll 'need` an LSD to really put the power down, especially in the twisties.

That "ELSD" you're referring to is merely the DSC actuating the rear brakes independently to transfer power to the opposite wheel. Not intended for performance driving.

Yes, I'm familiar with how it functions. Regardless, I was impressed. A mechanical LSD is definitely on the wish list.

I'm still on stock turbos. After going FBO + BM3 I was pleased with the power the car made and realized I need to upgrade to an LSD, coilovers and upgraded brakes before pursuing additional power.

This is way overlooked. Everyone always wants all this power, but car can barely stick to the ground and brake from high speeds (though honestly the stock m sport brakes are pretty good)

I couldn't tell you how much more traction I have now with better tires and coilovers. It's overlooked.

Yea the stock M Sport brakes are really good. Every time I get a loaner I have to adjust to the brakes, the difference is that big.

Yeah I really do like the stock M Sport brakes and if I wasn't planning on tracking the car I wouldn't be considering upgrading. Same for coilovers. I feel the LSD is needed even for a street car. This LSD first, then Ohlin's coilers, then BBK.

Oh yea I wasn't trying to imply that they are great for track use. Street definitely, track? always nice to have upgrades.
